Surf, blues, jazz, doo wop, and a little bit of rock n' roll. The sounds of 1960's Cucamonga originated from Paul Buff's unique sound at Pal Recording Studio off of Archibald Avenue. A concert was held at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga on July 30th, 2005, to pay tribute to the Cucamonga studio that brought us music from The Surfaris, The Chantays, The Tornadoes, Dino Dupree and the Pharaohs, Conrad and the Hurricane Strings, Johnny Fortune, and Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention.

Concert Performances:
The Cucamonga Surf Dogs
Dino Dupree and the Pharaohs
The Definiens Project
The Appollonicon
And special guests: Paul Buff, John Blair, and Stan Ross. |
